Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest

Andrea has a background in a variety of settings, including homeless services, residential addiction centres, and both community-based and private counselling agencies. As a consequence she has a wide range of experience assisting adults who have mental health difficulties including low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and emotion regulation difficulties as well as other chronic and complex psychological problems.

This has been accomplished using a variety of therapeutic methods, the selection of which depends on the client and their specific difficulties. Andrea works from the premise that everyone has the potential for growth and change if given a supportive, non-judgmental environment and the time to explore their individual difficulties at their own pace.
