Robert holds a Master’s in Psychotherapy, a Diploma in Executive Coaching and Leadership Development, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Robert offers one to one psychotherapy exploring issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, loneliness, sexuality, abuse, and finding meaning.
Everyone has their own story and way of seeing the world; therefore, treatments are tailored to the individual through a Humanistic Integrative Approach; using mindfulness, CBT and traditional psychotherapeutic methods. Robert is an avid learner and endeavours to stay up to date with recent research using relevant findings to help clients improve their wellbeing.
Robert also offers one to one coaching, exploring workplace performance, development, growth and future direction, working with all levels of employees. Robert has delivered workshops for many years in both education and corporate settings, focussed on wellbeing, stress management, mentoring and productivity. He is also the Chairman of the EcoPsychology and Ecotherapy Association of Ireland, which promotes the psychological benefits of engaging with nature.
Across his work, Robert helps clients to explore the psychological, personal and systemic barriers that prevent them from reaching their potential, and how they can live a more authentic, fulfilling, and productive life.
A keen area of interest for Robert is the innate human connection to nature and how it can be used within the therapeutic process. Robert has completed research in this area and offers sessions outdoors in city parks or the Dublin Mountains.
He attends regular supervision to maintain the highest standard of care, conforming to IAHIP and Association for Coaching Code of Ethics.
