I am a Health Psychologist who provides psychotherapy to individuals with a wide
variety of issues, including: Anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, self-growth,
bereavement, LGBTQIA+ counselling, neurodiversity and employment
guidance/search for employment.
The most important thing for me from the beginning of therapy is to understand
what you are feeling, why and how this problem has come into your life. I put myself
in your shoes, and once I have understood your problem, its origin, and the emotions
you are going through, I will help you understand why you feel this way and how to
manage it.
I am aware that different individuals would need different approaches, so I work from
an integrative perspective using distinct tools like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
(CBT), Person Centred, Solution focussed Therapy and Mindfulness.
I work from a Feminist perspective, creating a therapeutic space LGBTQIA+ affirming
and neuro-diversity affirming where you and I can explore different oppressions
(race, class, age, gender, sexuality…) along with how they are affecting your life.
I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and I am neurodivergent so I have a
particular interest in working with those groups. However, I work with people outside
the community with different problems and I am open to work with you, whatever is
your situation.
I hold a Degree in Psychology from the University of Salamanca, a Master’s Degree in
Gender Equality from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a Master’s
Degree in Health Psychology from the Distance University of Madrid. I am studying a
Master’s Degree in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy with the Institute of
Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (IICP). I am fully accredited with the
Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and a member of their Health Psychologists
Division.
I offer therapy in English or Spanish.
